A 35-year-old female patient, who had been suffering from nephrotic syndrome since childhood, reported multiple relapses (2–3 times in the past two years) and acute symptoms of protein leakage in urine, leg and mouth swelling (edema), and pain during leg movement.
She also complained of cold sensitivity, nosebleeds (epistaxis), and sleep disorder, due to her fear of darkness and loneliness, as well as skin sensitivity and history of application of ointments for various diseases. Additional complaints included watery stools, thirstlessness, profuse sweating, and specific food likes, where there was an avidity for meat, fish, eggs, and bitter things, whereas sweets were disliked.
